To keep them safe we have to interact with some very personal information from the coaches and volunteers who will work with them. In today’s digital world you can’t be too careful with the information you expose on the internet. We understand and appreciate your concerns about the security of your personal information. Safeguarding the privacy and security of all sensitive data is an extreme priority for us.

We employ industry-standard best practices to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your data. The most important steps we take are:

  • Encryption: Your data is encrypted during both transmission and storage, protecting it from unauthorized access.
  • Access Control: Only authorized personnel have access to your personal information, and only for legitimate purposes related to their job functions.

In an ideal world, you wouldn’t need to share such information, but keeping kids safe is important and necessitates the use of the information. 2. How can I sign up for an account?

To sign up for an account, start by filling out the GET STARTED form. You will be taken to a registration page where you can fill out all of the info required.

New accounts must be approved before use, so a CoachBackground.com representative will be notified of new registrations and work to approve the account. You will be contacted if additional information is required. Approvals generally take one-two business days, once approved you will be notified via email.

3. How long does it take to get my company approved for the site?

4. Can I send coaches a link to do a background check?

Yes, you can send your coaches directly to app.coachbackground.com/apply. The coach can then enter in the access code that you provide them to link directly to your online application. Coach Background will gather their information, run the background check and place the completed check in your account for review. This process will save you lots of time and make the data collection and processing very simple for your organization.

5. Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes, there is no obligation to use our system and you are not locked into a long-term contract. If you decide that Coach Background does not best suit your needs, you are free to engage another background check provider. We are so confident in our pricing, service and app that we hope you will always stay with us of your own choice and not out of obligation.

6. How much does the service cost?

Your Coach Background account is FREE. You only pay as you run reports. If you have some months that you have no reports, there is no cost. Select the “Get Started” form for a custom quote for report pricing for your organization.

7. How does the service work?

  1. Associations and Recreational Departments sign up for the service.
  2. Once approved, the association can either login to their account and run instant background reports. OR Create an online application process for specific positions.
  3. The association then directs coaches to the application form, either by sending a link (URL) or providing them with an access code to apply on this website.
  4. The association is notified when an application has been completed and can login anytime to view the application information, and to view the detailed background check. They can then add the applicant to the approved list of applicants for the position.

The reports are securely stored online and accessible 24/7.
